You may manage this authorization at any time in your system settings. We collect such information to ensure the security and stability of your access to our network, to reduce security risks associated with your use of our services, and to ensure the stable operation of network access and our products and services. If you do not provide such information, we will be unable to guarantee the safe operation of the application during your use.

1.8 Data Analytics

In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we will apply technical measures to de-identify or anonymize personal information as necessary; such processed information will not be capable of precisely identifying any specific individual. 1.9 Third-Party Use

We currently provide personal information to third parties in certain circumstances. FateTell uses third-party artificial intelligence large language model products (such as OpenAI). To fulfill your usage requirements, we may provide certain of your personal information to such large language model products. However, we adhere to the principle of data minimization when providing such information to third parties, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we apply technical measures to de-identify or anonymize personal information as necessary; such processed information will not be capable of precisely identifying any specific individual.

1.10 Account Security

When you manage your account security settings, you may provide your email address or Google account. We collect such information to enhance the security of your account, enabling you to recover your account in the event that you forget your password or lose access. On fatetell.com, OpenAI Ads measurement may also be used for campaign attribution after consent. These content events do not include article text or titles, form or chat content, or URL query parameters. Analytics providers may process technical information such as an approximate location derived from your IP address, browser, and device type under their own privacy terms: Google, PostHog, and OpenAI.

Your choice is stored in a Cookie shared across FateTell subdomains for up to 12 months. If you decline, these optional analytics do not load. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the website footer.

We collect such information to provide you with higher-quality services, and the scope of use of such information may include but is not limited to the improvement of artificial intelligence algorithms, training, and the provision of improvement recommendations. Such information will serve as a reference for improving our products and services and will be used solely for internal analysis. We undertake not to disclose such information publicly.

1.14 Information Security

To safeguard the security of your information, please keep your network passwords and personal information secure and avoid disclosing your private information, such as your address, telephone number, and account credentials, to others.

1.15 Statutory Circumstances

1. Where necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract to which you are a party;

Any breach of confidentiality obligations will be subject to penalties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the Company's internal policies.

3.4 Uncontrollable Risks

We also ask that you understand that, due to the inherent limitations and rapid evolution of technology in the internet industry and the existence of various potential malicious attack vectors, even with our best efforts to enhance security measures, it is not possible to guarantee the absolute security of information at all times. Please be aware that the systems and communication networks you use when accessing our services may be subject to security issues arising in environments beyond our control.

3.5 Information Security Incidents

In the unfortunate event of a personal information security incident, we will, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, promptly notify you of the basic circumstances of the security incident and its potential impact, the remedial measures we have taken or intend to take, suggestions for actions you may take to mitigate risk, and the remedies available to you. We will promptly inform you of the relevant circumstances of the incident via in-app notifications, SMS, telephone, email, or other contact methods you have provided. Where it is impracticable to notify each individual, we will issue a public announcement through reasonable and effective means. We will also proactively report the handling of the personal information security incident to the relevant regulatory authorities as required (if applicable).

IV. Third-Party AI Usage

This section specifically provides transparent disclosure regarding data processing practices in connection with the integration of third-party artificial intelligence (AI) services in this application, in compliance with the requirements of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable regulations.

4.1 Third-Party AI Service Providers

We currently use the following three third-party AI service providers. When you use AI-related features, certain of your data will be transmitted to these service providers for processing.

GDPR Legal Basis Statement: Our legal basis for processing data is Legitimate Interests, meaning processing that is necessary to provide you with the core AI features you have requested. • Payment information or account passwords
• Precise geolocation
• Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or other device tracking identifiers

4.3 International Data Transfers

To our knowledge, the servers of the three AI service providers listed above are all located in the United States. If you are located in the European Union/European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, your data will be transferred to a third country (i.e., the United States) that has not been deemed by the European Commission to provide an adequate level of data protection.

Transfer safeguards: We access the aforementioned services through standard API integration. All three service providers have made data protection commitments in their developer-facing terms of service, including the implementation of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or participation in relevant privacy framework certifications. You may review the specific safeguard measures of each service provider directly through the links provided in the table above.

Regarding our own practices: We do not use your conversation content to train AI models.

Regarding third-party service providers: The service providers we have selected have committed in their standard API terms that data submitted via API will not be used to train their models by default. However, specific terms are subject to each service provider's most current policies, and we are unable to make binding commitments on their behalf. We recommend that you review each service provider's privacy policy directly for confirmation (links provided in the table above).

5.9 Response to Requests

To ensure security, you are required to submit a written request or otherwise verify your identity. We may require you to verify your identity before processing your request. We will generally respond to your request within fifteen (15) days. In principle, we do not charge a fee for your reasonable requests; however, for requests that are repeated multiple times or exceed reasonable limits, we may charge a reasonable cost fee at our discretion. We may decline requests that are vexatiously repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (e.g., requiring the development of new systems or fundamentally changing existing practices), pose risks to the lawful rights and interests of others, or are highly impractical (e.g., involving information stored on backup tapes).

In the following circumstances, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we will be unable to respond to your aforementioned requests:

6. Where responding to the request of the personal information subject would cause serious harm to the lawful rights and interests of you or other individuals or organizations;
7. Where necessary to protect the life, property, or other significant lawful rights and interests of you or other individuals, but where obtaining consent is impracticable;
8. Where trade secrets are involved.

VI. How We Handle the Personal Information of Minors

We attach great importance to the protection of the personal information of minors. The collection and use of personal information of minors who are fourteen (14) years of age or older but under eighteen (18) years of age may be authorized by a guardian or by the minor themselves.

We do not provide services to children under the age of fourteen (14). If you are a child under the age of fourteen (14), please select an age-appropriate application with the guidance of your guardian. If you are a minor who is fourteen (14) years of age or older but under eighteen (18) years of age, we require that your parent or other guardian carefully read this Privacy Policy, and that you use our services or provide information to us only with the prior authorization and consent of your guardian.

If you are the guardian of a minor, please be attentive to whether the minor under your guardianship is using our products or services with your authorization and consent. If you have any questions regarding the personal information of the minor under your guardianship, please contact us through the methods specified in this Privacy Policy.

VII. Updates and Amendments to This Privacy Policy

To better protect the privacy of our users, our privacy protection policy may be adjusted and revised from time to time as necessary.

For material changes that would substantially diminish your rights under this Privacy Policy, we will notify you prior to the effective date of such changes through prominent placement on the main exposure pages of our services, or through in-app notifications, email, or other appropriate means reasonably calculated to reach you. If you do not agree to such changes, you may cease using FateTell services.

Material changes as referred to in this Privacy Policy include but are not limited to: significant changes in our service model; changes in the circumstances under which personal information is provided to third parties, transferred, or publicly disclosed; significant changes in your rights regarding the processing of personal information and the manner in which such rights may be exercised; changes in our contact information and complaint channels; and instances where a personal information security impact assessment report indicates the existence of high risk.

Any updated terms will be published within this application. Please review and carefully read these changes.

Your continued use of the services shall be deemed to constitute your having read, understood, and agreed to accept the revised terms of the Privacy Policy.

In the event that this application undergoes a merger, acquisition, or reorganization, or transfers some or all of its assets to a third party in any form, requiring the transfer of your personal information to a new operating entity, we will notify you of the new privacy policy at the time of data transfer.

If you do not agree with any amendment to this Privacy Policy, you are advised to immediately cease using our services.

VIII. Connecting Third-Party AI Applications Through FateTell MCP

This section explains how we process your personal information when you use FateTell through the FateTell MCP service (the "MCP Service") and authorize third-party AI applications to access your FateTell account. In this section, "third-party AI application" means third-party software that you choose and connect yourself and that can call the MCP Service, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI assistants or agents. These are distinct from the third-party AI service providers described in Section IV, which we use to provide AI features within our own app. Matters not covered in this section are governed by the rest of this Privacy Policy; where the specific provisions of this section differ from other sections with respect to personal information processed through the MCP Service, this section prevails.

8.1 What the MCP Service Does and Does Not Do

The MCP Service returns only deterministic data computed under FateTell's rules and data already saved in your account. Its servers call no artificial intelligence model and do not receive, record or store the content of your conversations with third-party AI applications. When a third-party AI application calls the MCP Service, it sends only the information needed for that calculation, such as a birth date and time, a range of dates, or a profile ID.

8.2 Use Without Signing In

When you use chart casting and almanac features without connecting a FateTell account, the third-party AI application sends us the birth date, birth time, time zone, gender, the hemisphere of the birthplace, and, where you ask for true solar time correction, the longitude of the birthplace. We collect this information solely to perform that calculation.

• This information and the results are not written to any database and are not linked to any account or person.
• To keep an identical request from counting against the limit twice within 24 hours, the result, together with the birth date, time, time zone and optional longitude from that request, is held in server memory for up to 24 hours, indexed by a cryptographic hash of the request, then discarded. It is not written to a database.
• The chart casting and almanac features of the MCP Service do not collect city names or geographic coordinates (other than a longitude you provide when asking for true solar time correction, which is used only for that calculation and is neither stored nor logged).
• In ChatGPT, the anonymous identifier ChatGPT provides for each user is used only to count usage against limits and for no other purpose.

8.3 Connecting Your FateTell Account and Authorization

When you connect your FateTell account in a third-party AI application, you sign in on the FateTell website (using the same methods described in Section 1.1) and confirm, on a consent page, the permissions granted to that application. The consent page shows the requesting application's verifiable web address, the account you are signed in with and the permissions requested, and you may allow or deny the request. If you allow it, the third-party AI application may obtain the following information within the corresponding permissions:

Whatever permissions are granted, the identifier of you that a third-party AI application receives is an opaque user number from which your FateTell account cannot be derived. Third-party AI applications do not receive the birthplace of a profile as written or its precise coordinates, and never receive your password, verification codes or FateTell sign-in credentials.

Providing information to a third-party AI application as described above requires your separate consent on the consent page and is limited to the application you choose and the permissions you grant.

When, after connecting your account, you request a Day Master judgment for birth details that are not saved, those birth details are handled as described in 8.2: they are not written to any database and are held in server memory with the result for up to 24 hours.

8.4 Birthplace When Saving a New Profile

Saving a new profile through the MCP Service requires a profile name, gender, Gregorian date of birth, time of birth (optional) and the name of the birthplace. We use the birthplace name to determine the profile's time zone and hemisphere for casting the chart, in the same way as when you create a profile in the FateTell app (Section 1.3). The birthplace name is saved with the profile in your FateTell account. The MCP Service itself does not separately store or log the birthplace name, does not collect geographic coordinates, and does not return the birthplace as written when a profile is read through the MCP Service.

8.5 Saving Profiles for Other People

If you use the MCP Service to save a profile for anyone other than yourself, you must first obtain that person's consent and confirm, when saving, that you have it; unless you have confirmed that consent was obtained, we do not save the profile. To keep a record of consent, we log the fact that a profile was saved for another person with consent confirmed, the time, and the third-party AI application used. This record contains no birth details and is retained for one year.

8.6 Logs and Audit Records

To keep our services secure and stable, diagnose faults and detect abuse (Sections 1.7 and 1.15(6)), we keep the following logs:

• Call logs of the MCP Service: the feature used, duration, outcome, error code, and a keyed hash of the request. These logs do not record dates or times of birth, longitudes, birthplace names or profile names.
• Logs and audit records of the authorization service: each approval, denial and revocation of an authorization, and any detected reuse of a credential, recording the opaque user number, the third-party AI application's identifier, the permissions, the time and the outcome. These logs and audit records never contain access credentials, authorization codes, passwords, verification codes or email addresses.

8.7 Retention Periods

The authorization service does not store birth details, profile contents, passwords or your FateTell sign-in credentials. The information above is stored in the Hong Kong region.

8.8 Revoking Authorization and Deactivating Your Account

You may at any time view the third-party AI applications you have authorized under "Settings > Connected apps" on the FateTell website and revoke any of them. After revocation, the application can no longer access your account data within 60 seconds, and we delete the related authorization records as set out in 8.7. Revoking an authorization is one of the ways of modifying the scope of your consent described in Section 5.6.

If you deactivate your FateTell account (Section 5.7), every authorization you granted to third-party AI applications is cancelled, and no third-party AI application can access your account data any longer.

8.9 Processing by Third-Party AI Applications

Once a third-party AI application obtains information under your authorization, its storage, use, sharing and deletion of that information (for example, in its conversation history) are governed by that application's own privacy policy and are beyond our control. Revoking an authorization does not delete information the application obtained before. To exercise your rights over such information, contact the provider of that application directly.

8.10 Contact Us

If you have any questions about this section, or wish to exercise the rights described in Section V in connection with the MCP Service, contact us at contact@fatetell.com.
